Now that the true spring weather is upon us, you are probably having problems walking on the sidewalk on the weekend for all of the open house signs.
The spring market will likely endure for a couple more months past the typical rush period since we had a lot of activity but the really great weather has yet to hit.
The biggest complaint we’re hearing is that there is not enough on the market right now. Hot listings priced aggressively are going quickly.
So what do you do when you want to buy but you can find anything on the market? Just create your own! We will actually tour a neighbourhood with our clients and pick out houses they would be interested in buying. Even though they are not for sale, we contact the homeowners and see if they are interested in selling. We’ve found many homes for our clients this way.

TORONTO, April 5, 2011 — Greater Toronto REALTORS® reported 9,262 transactions through the TorontoMLS® system in March 2011, representing the second best March result on record. The number of transactions was 11 per cent lower than the record result reported in March 2010.
“The strong home sales reported in March and throughout the first quarter of 2011 have been based on a solid affordability picture and improving economic conditions in the GTA and country-wide,” said Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) President Bill Johnston.
